1. Get some rest:
Resting for 7 to 8 hours is much needed because when you get less sleep, the more calories you add on.
2. Watch the Foods You Pick:
The holidays usually include a big feast of foods that you probably shouldn't eat. To avoid that keep in mind: don't overeat, watch your portions, and know when enough is enough. On a side-note try to eat more veggies than anything else.
3. Go Easy on the Alcohol:
Drinking is very common during the holidays for celebrations. Eating Well suggests counting while pouring wine or any other drinks. There are still calories in these drinks.
4. Don't Overload the Plate:
As mentioned before you have to watch what goes onto your plate. So instead of adding a huge serving of macaroni, add a salad or appetizer.
5. Smaller is Better:
When you eat big portions of food your body will think you need more. According to Eating Well eating smaller bites can trick your body into thinking you are eating more.
