This city holds a very special place in my heart. This was the city that sparked my interest in traveling. Paris was the first city I traveled to without my family. It was just two of my closest friends and myself and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever lived.
There is something about Paris that makes you want to stay forever. For me, that "something" is probably the delicious desserts. There is nothing in this world that compares to the mouth-watering, chocolaty, desserts this city has.
Things To Do and See in Paris
Eiffel Tower - Why would you go to Paris and not see the Eiffel Tower? If you are trying to avoid big crowds, then I would suggest going in the morning (as soon as it opens), but if you don't mind being around a lot of people, I would recommend going at night when the lights of the Eiffel Tower turn on and the city looks like it comes to life.Arc de Triomphe - It is a historic monument, and also, it is quite challenging to get to the actual Arc de Triomphe. Let me just tell you that you do not get to it by just simply crossing the street.
The Louvre Museum - Regardless if you like going to museums or not, you must go to this one since it is one of the most (if not the most) important museum in the world.
Notre Dame Cathedral - Absolutely breathtaking. There are no other words to describe it.
Paris Catacombs - If you are looking for something that will give you the chills, this is the place. The catacombs go on for miles and miles. It is a weird feeling to go in there because on one side you are freaked out about the place, but on the other side it is very interesting since it portrays the history of Paris.Find a Good Restaurant(s) and Eat! - Try to stay away from the food that resembles American food and just eat local and eat what Paris has to offer, you will love it, I'm sure!
Though I have yet to discover why it is the city of love, I would love to go back and live the experience of why it has earned that name. Paris is magical. It's a city that you can't get enough of.
