We were left with a couple of surprises after the season premier, one of the prominent ones being the reveal of Hiram Lodge, Veronica's charismatic businessman of a father, who was portrayed as a mysterious hidden villain in the first season of the show. He was jailed for fraud and embezzlement, and has since been released. We finally got the reveal we've been waiting for, to see what the intimidating man behind bars looks like.
In another twist of events, one which started sour but ended sweet (I guess, to each their own) was the return, although brief, of the manipulative music teacher, Ms. Grundy. After she was forced to leave Riverdale due to her scandalous affair with Archie, she was introduced again this season in another
town with another gullible high school student, teaching him music in her home. After her new sexual prey left, she ended up getting murdered by the same man who shot Fred Andrews (yes, it was creepy, but was it wrong to feel satisfaction to know that she is now gone for good?). We still don't quite understand her whole situation with younger boys or why she was brought back to the storyline, but that's where the theories started rolling in:
The above Twitter user accurately summarized the Grundy enigma, leading it to his theory about the masked shooter. I firmly believe that he might have cracked the case, or at least isn't that far off from almost solving this disturbing mystery. We'll have to wait to find out, but for now, I'm clearing my schedule for tomorrow's episode.
